Mormon Congregation supports Dundee Refugee Group

Over the last few months members of The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints meeting on Liff Road, Dundee have been actively trying to help bring aid to the many refugees in turmoil and have been working with Dundee Refugee Support group.  They have been involved in making up hygiene packs with the many donations that have been coming into Swan House and have managed to create 1000 packs already that are now being distributed in Calais and Macedonia.

The Dundee congregation are keen to continue in this great effort and have been amazed and overwhelmed with the people of Dundee’s response to this great cause and are proud to be associated with the Dundee Refugee support group.

One volunteer observed, “when I first went to Swan House to see if I could help in anyway, it is amazing to see how much love, hard work and good will has been generated and it instils in you a desire to get involved and you want to help."

The local congregation will continue to assist in any way they can and if anyone is interested in getting involved, please visit Swan house or contact Grant Campbell on info@mbedundee.co.uk.  Donations are still required for futher packs.
