The Bridge of Don is in the northern suburbs of Aberdeen, Scotland and in March, local members of The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter Day Saints held their "Helping Hands Day” at the Fairview House Care Home. Fairview House provides 24 hour nursing care for the elderly and also provides specialised care in “Memory Lane” for 26 people who have been diagnosed with dementia.
The care home likes to promote a lifestyle which is enjoyable for the residents and this includes providing a nice environment which encourages residents to go outdoors. As springapproaches, the residents can enjoy being in a safe environment with a beautiful garden.
The Helping Hands Day had church members involved in painting wooden fencing and tidying up the grounds in the "Memory Lane" garden. The Management team at Fairview were very appreciative of the work that was done by the members of the church, and would like them to come back and help out in the future.
