Tubridge Wells Celebrates The Queen's 90th Birthday

In celebration of the Queen’s 90th birthday, the Tunbridge Wells congregation of The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints recently held a street party, inviting the local community to participate. Members and non-members gathered together in the meetinghouse car park to play traditional English games—such as Shove Ha’penny, Bat a Rat, croquet, Bagatelle, and more—and enjoyed a potluck of offerings. The celebration included a cake decorating contest, a Beatles sing along, a quiz on facts about the queen and a maypole dance for the children.

A timeline of pictures from Queen Elizabeth’s life highlighted 90 years and was set on display for all to enjoy. The event concluded with everyone standing to sing “God Save the Queen.” Decorations included patriotic bunting, table coverings, flags and balloons.
