The British Pageant Rescheduled to Summer 2023

Europe Area Presidency issues letter of postponement to Church leadership throughout the UK and Ireland

Considering current events in Europe, Elder Massimo De Feo, President of the Europe Area of The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints, Elder Erich W. Kopischke, First Counsellor in the Europe Area Presidency and Elder Rubén V. Alliaud, Second Counsellor in the Europe Area Presidency have announced the re-scheduling of The British Pageant to summer 2023.

A letter sent to senior Church leadership throughout the United Kingdom and Ireland explained that this decision reflects the responsibility to be wise stewards over time, energy, and resources while caring for those who require needed assistance at this time.

The Europe Area Presidency expressed their love and gratitude to the Pageant leadership and volunteers who have already expended great efforts to produce a message of hope and faith in Jesus Christ and the Restoration of His gospel.

The British Pageant President, Craig T. Wright also conveyed appreciation for the many hours of service, faith, and sacrifice given by the Pageant team. “Your humility in accepting the postponement decision is a testament to the Christlike servants you all are,” he said.

“We now have precious additional time to consider how best we keep the torches burning through the wards (congregations), stakes (dioceses) and beyond. Through humanitarian service, media, community engagement and outreach, we will become instruments to help many more people to come unto Christ as we move forward.”
