General women’s meeting to be broadcast to nearly 500 locations across Europe

Women and girls age eight and older will join the general women’s meeting of The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints on Saturday, September 27, 2014, at 6 p.m. local time in the Conference Center in Salt Lake City in the U.S. State of Utah. Thousands of faithful in Europe are anticipated to attend a delayed broadcast in one of almost 500 locations or watch a live stream on the internet.

A member of the First Presidency and women leaders will address the audience. Members of The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints and those of other faiths alike are welcome to attend. The general women's meeting is held twice a year. It has replaced the general Relief Society and general Young Women meetings held annually since 1993.
