Elder Ballard and Elder Bednar visit seven European countries

Two apostles of The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints visited with the faithful in seven European countries September 6 through 14, 2014. Elder M. Russell Ballard and Elder David A. Bednar participated in gatherings and conferences with women, young single adults, missionaries, congregational leaders, and the general membership to educate and edify.

Elder Ballard and Elder Bednar are members of the Quorum of the Twelve Apostles of The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints. During their visit to Europe, they were accompanied by Elder Donald L. Hallstrom of the Presidency of the Seventy as well as Elder José A. Teixeira, Elder Patrick Kearon, and Elder Timothy J. Dyches of the Europe Area Presidency.

“The visit of Elder Ballard and Elder Bednar was a turning point for many who heard them speak. Men and women renewed their commitment to follow Jesus Christ and be a good influence in the world,” said Elder Teixeira.

During their visit, Elder Ballard and Bednar reached out to Church members in Denmark, Finland, Germany, the Netherlands, Norway, Sweden, and Switzerland. Thousands gathered to hear their counsel.
