The British Pageant is a musical extravaganza celebrating the courage of the early Christian reformers and the 19th century Mormon missionaries who prepared the way for the establishment of The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints in the UK and Ireland.
Hundreds of church members have auditioned to take part in this moving event depicting the hardships and triumphs of the early Mormon pioneers.
“The reason I want to be in the British Pageant” says 10-year-old Madison, “is I think it would be a good way to show other people how I feel about the church.”
“The audition experience was a lot more relaxed than I expected it to be. Instead of the environment of competition – or ‘I’m trying to beat someone else out for the role’ – it was a team effort”, reflects Katie Siswick. “They really emphasised that we were all working together to create an amazing production.”
These are the individual stories of people from all backgrounds – the women and men of the Pageant leadership team and other talented individuals who are looking to be part of the British Pageant.
